She began working for the Law Offices of David K. Barhydt as a legal assistant in 1998. In 2007, Amy applied for law school and was admitted to the John Marshall Law School. During law school, Amy interned for the Illinois Attorney General's Office and the John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Clinic. She also was a research assistant for Professor Sonia Bychov-Green. Amy also was a CALI award recipient for Assisted Reproductive Technology and Historic Court Remedies. In addition, Amy was secretary and treasurer for the Fair Housing Association and a student liaison for John Marshall's Phi Alpha Delta chapter. Throughout law school, she was a Student Bar Association member and a student mentor. Amy is active in her community by volunteering for her local elementary school and DuPage P.A.D.S. |
